Apostolic Church of Queensland Victoria Chaplaincy

The objective of an Apostolic Church is to bring all to the Grace of Jesus Christ to reconcile a people again to God, and to be led in childlike faith by the Holy Ghost to be prepared as a Bride at His return in power and glory which is near at hand.

Apostolic Words of life

At the start of the Christian Church we see that Apostle Paul, especially wrote a great number of letters to various communities to encourage them to remain faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ.

This practice has been a maintained by the Apostles since the restoration of the Apostle ministry.  Here one can find a collection of these writings authored by Apostles encouraging Christians to finish the race (2 Tim 4:7) and to truly appreciate the gift of eternal life, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).

Word of Life No. 30 of 2013

Late Apostle Wilfred Baron  Germany

"Ask, and it shall be given you; Seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” (Matthew 7:7)

Asking, seeking, knocking are all part of our faith. If we practice them, then we will be able to successfully perform our daily chores. Thereby we receive and will be able to give others help to establish God's Kingdom here. Christ said "Listen to my voice and harden not your hearts". If we do not feel the need to ask, seek or knock, then perhaps God has no place in our complicated lives. We have made ourselves poorer by cutting off this vital source of strength, and there might come a time when our faith too will disappear.

We could fulfil all our tasks with God's help and be happy. We should not only call on the Lord when we have reached the limits of our own capabilities.

Jesus says "Ask and it shall be given unto you". This is the first

lesson of our faith. If we had more trust we could ask for a lot.

Every morning when we are worried what the new day has in store

for us, Jesus says "Ask so that you will receive God's help and

strength". Often we are so concerned with all our problems, that we

forget God completely. Perhaps we have no requests to make, but we should never be afraid or ashamed to ask. Jesus says, "If ye, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father which is in Heaven give good things to them that ask Him".

Many will say "We have often asked, but our requests have not been granted". Possibly we asked for the wrong things. We should ask for fortitude, more patience, more trust in God, the ability to choose what is good for us and to know our mission on earth. These are the things worth asking for and we can be sure that God will give us all that we need.

When we are only worried about our livelihood and ask "What shall we eat or how shall we live and what shall we wear", we should rather think of what Jesus said. "Be modest and content for your Father knows what you need". We should rather ask for the gifts of the Holy Spirit and be transformed. Ask for strength to conquer

sin, overcome hatred and envy. Be content and grateful for all

we have. We should not take all that we have for granted.

Millions of people do not have the barest necessities which

we take for granted.

"Seek and you will find." Everyone wants peace, shelter, good

fortune and fulfillment in life. Jesus related a story of a woman

who had ten coins. She lost one of them. She searched for it very

carefully. When she found it she was very happy and told her neighbours about it.

What do we do when we lose something? Perhaps we have lost the relationship we once had with God and with our neighbour. Our days are without peace. We can no longer pray. Do we seek? Which of us then clears our hearts of everything else so there will be room again for Divine things? Do we light a lamp so that all the corners of our heart will be lit up? Let us start seeking, for only those who seek will find.
